Anne + Jonathan: Married!

Anne and Jonathan laughed a lot during their wedding day on Friday – through the portraits, ceremony and reception.  It was a pretty good indication of how much fun they were having together, and it made it really easy to photograph them throughout the evening.  When these two initially approached me to shoot their wedding, I turned them down because I had another one scheduled for Saturday and didn’t want to do a double-header.  A few rounds of emails with “please” written out numerous times managed to convince me otherwise :)  While the weekend eventually turned into a triple-header (more on that later), I’m still glad I was there to witness Anne and Jonathan’s wedding.

You can see all of their SLIDESHOW HERE.  Thanks to Kelly for helping me shoot this one!

Congrats to Tracy and Jasen

Their wedding was selected by The Knot magazine for publication later this year!  It should be on stands sometime in November of this year :)

Just FYI – I have 3 weddings this weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday.)  It happened by accident, with a few people changing their dates after they booked.  I’ll be pretty busy with shooting and editing for the next few days, so if it takes a little longer than usual for me to get back to you please understand!  I’ll have lots of blog posts for you next week!

Laura’s Bridal Portraits

I can’t show you anything from Laura’s bridal session yesterday (can’t trust that Brian won’t take a peek!)  Let’s just say Laura was very brave for going out during the threat of thunderstorms, and also very smart for bringing a bright white sheet perfectly sized to fit under her dress without showing – great protection for the bottom of her dress!

I’m leaving for Chicago shortly – I’ll be back next Wednesday, just in time for my three wedding weekend in June.  More on that later…Have a great weekend!

Conrad Family

I had the pleasure of photographing Katie and Ryan’s wedding back in 2007 (has it really been that long ago?!?)  They are about to move from Kansas City down to Florida, so they were making their last visit to St. Louis to visit family before they head south.  Katie’s family took the opportunity to get a family photo taken in Faust Park – getting it in early for the Christmas card this year :)  Best of luck to Katie and Ryan in Florida – and thanks Conrad family for a fun session!

[...] and Ryan, whose wedding I photographed in 2007, moved from St. Louis to Ft. Lauderdale in 2009.  I had photographed their family before they moved, and kept in touch now and again via Facebook.  Of course I’d completely [...]

Kelly + Joe: Engaged

This session nearly got rained out, but Kelly and Joe persisted, and we did a quick shoot this morning during a break from the storms.  We shot in Lafayette Square, and managed to keep dry long enough to wander the park and the neighborhood.  I’ve shot in the area quite a lot recently, but I don’t mind – I live less than 2 blocks from the park so I know this area pretty well.  Despite claiming he didn’t like having his photo taken, I think Joe did a pretty good job laughing and posing – you’d almost think he had fun :)  I’ll see these guys again for their wedding in October!
