Tricia + Jon in The Knot Magazine

I just received a copy of the Fall/Winter issue of The Knot, featuring Tricia and Jon’s wedding from last October.  Looks nice!

On a side note, I’m leaving for Washington, D.C. today for the weekend.  If you need me I’ll be back Tuesday!

Angela + Tyler: Married!

Forest Park was a disaster on Saturday.  Apparently there were graduations and events going on all morning, and hundreds of people trying to go to the zoo.  That meant insane traffic moving through the park – it took us easily 35 minutes to get to the Jewel Box from the park entrance.  Poor Angela must have been biting her nails in her brother’s car as they sat in traffic (and sped ahead of traffic, waiving her veil out the window as proof that she was important!)  Fortunately most of the guests made it in time for the ceremony, which was beautiful set against the lush trees.  We had to be a bit creative on where to shoot portraits after that, having to avoid areas like the World’s Fair Pavilion and being scared off by 5 other wedding parties at the Muny.  Good thing Angela and Tyler are very flexible and relaxed!

After a few photo stops, we were off to the reception at Hendri’s, where the kids ruled the dance floor.  You can view the SLIDESHOW HERE.  Thanks to Katy for second shooting with me.  I hope Angela and Tyler honor their promise not to check email or cell phones while they are honeymooning in the Dominican Republic!

Liron + Janos: Engaged!

Janos is skilled at making Liron laugh – this definitely came in handy today during their engagement shoot.  He was picking Liron up in ways she didn’t expect, making fish-kiss faces at her, and stealing sips off her coffee – all producing great laughter.  Although Liron was the basis for the laughter in the photo in front of the green door.  While posing for a photo, a bunny ran in front of them.  Liron screamed, and then she laughed at herself for screaming.  And then Janos laughed at her for screaming.  It was great.

The wedding is less than a month away in June at the Coronado.  Based on her reaction to being picked up and dipped today, I can’t wait to see the expression on Liron’s face as she is hoisted up on a chair in the middle of the dance floor :)  See you guys soon!

Good Karma Project: Lacy Branch Events

Lacy Branch is a wedding planner here in St. Louis, and she snapped up a timeslot during my portrait marathon on a technicality – “me and my assistants are like family!”  These three barely stopped laughing for me to take their headshots, so I believe it :)  I hope they can carry that laughter with them into the busy wedding season!
