Sheena + Barb

Sheena participated in my Good Karma Project last month – she had photos taken with her future mother-in-law.  That session was actually intended to be Sheena with her Mom and her future-mom, but Barb fell ill the morning of the session.  So we separated it into two sessions, finally getting Barb’s done on Father’s Day (even though it was a Mother’s Day present!!)  You can tell Sheena and her Mom are very close, and they both love having their photos taken.  See you ladies in September for Sheena and Tim’s wedding!

Have you been avoiding your wedding album?

You know who you are:  you saw the album pre-design I sent you the week after your wedding (last month?  last year?), and you may have even made mention of a few photo switches you wanted to make.  But then you buried that email in your inbox and never looked back.

Look back!!  Your album needs you!!  If your design could talk, it would be begging you to be printed on photo quality paper and bound into the gorgeous book that you already paid for.

I know you all are busy, and I’m usually pretty lax about getting albums finished.  But I sent Liron (who was married on June 7th) a pre-design for her album yesterday, and within hours she had given me her changes and approved an updated draft.  I’ll order her book tomorrow, which means she’ll get it within 3-4 weeks of her wedding.  Liron, you are my hero!  She has inspired me to, ahem, inspire you all to get your albums together.  So stop procrastinating and email me!

Studer Family

It’s amazing how many excellent baby photos you can get in just 30 minutes!  8-week-old Hannah was very well behaved (no crying or anything!) for the first 30 minutes of portraits this morning, and then she started getting just a tad fussy.  To spare Molly and Scott from any upset that may have ensued from pushing her any further, we ended the session there – and I am surprised at how many good images we were able to get!  It was fun to see Molly and Scott again – I photographed their wedding in 2007 – and see the newest addition to their family.  She’s a sweetie :)

Liron + Janos: Married!

I heard Janos say on Sunday that every time he looked at Liron he just wanted to cry.  I got that sense from both of them all day – they are such a happy, loving couple.  Their wedding at the Coronado was a blast, with all of the traditional Jewish elements and SO much dancing (crazy props and jump ropes included!)  Liron is from Israel and Janos is from Hungary, so there were several guests there from out of town, and so many different languages flying about.  Even with all the family and hoopla surrounding them, I still got the sense that this couple really enjoyed themselves.   What a wonderful ending to my three-wedding weekend :)

Liron and Janos chose not to go on a honeymoon just yet, and I already heard from Liron that when they got the link to the proofs they connected the computer to a TV so all of the family could watch as they flipped through the images.  So smart!  You can see their SLIDESHOW HERE.  Thanks again Kelly for shooting with me.  Congrats Liron and Janos!

Kate + Tony: Married!

All of the details at Kate and Tony’s wedding coordinated beautifully – matching the stained glass windows in St. Peter’s Cathedral and the decor of the Grand Hall in Union Station (I particularly loved the flowers she chose.)  And I think Kate managed to do it all without a wedding planner – kudos to her!  A beautiful wedding, and a sweet, fun couple – what else could a photographer ask for?

You can see the whole SLIDESHOW HERE – their first dance song was Beyonce’s version of “At Last”, which was just too short to get in all the good photos I wanted to add!  Oh well…better to have too many :)  Thanks to Von for her help second shooting.  Congrats Kate and Tony – I hope you enjoy Jamaica!
