Miss B’s Boudoir

I suppose now she’s actually a Mrs. :)

We did Miss B’s boudoir shoot just four days before her wedding as a surprise for her groom to be.  She was leaving the very next day to meet him on the East coast where the wedding was held last weekend.  I’m amazed she had time to fit in this shoot so close to the big day!  Many thanks to her for allowing me to share just a few images.  I hope the wedding went spectacularly, and that the gift was a hit :)

John + Janie + Jenna + Jessica

The day I photographed this family Jessica turned 5 months and Jenna turned four and a half.  A big day, to say the least :)  Far too hot to venture outdoors, we managed to do most of the photos inside that morning.  It made for a very laid-back shoot, with the girls feeling comfortable and in their element.  I love how Jessica’s tongue is sticking out in nearly every photo :)

Have a great Tuesday!

Love seeing my little nieces! xoxox. Great job with these cuties Tracy!

Christopher + Jenn + Sean + Charlie

We lied to them.  Poor Sean and Charlie had started to turn red from the heat, and all they wanted to do was run in the fountains.  We told them that after just a few shots we’d let them run free and enjoy the cool water, and they believed us.  Unfortunately, once we got a bit closer to those fountains it became clear that they were not kid-friendly (too deep and dirty.)  So those poor boys could not play in the water as promised.  I felt terrible.

Fortunately, 20-month-olds get over these things quickly.  A fire truck drove by with sirens blazing, and the fountains were forgotten until another day.  Note to self: check the fountains in advance next time. :)

Tyler + Angela + Jackson

The last time I photographed Jackson, he was still a bun in the oven.  I finally got to meet him last week just as he was turning 10 months old – man, does time fly!

Angela and Tyler brought along the grandparents to help get Jackson’s attention (always a great idea), and jump in a few shots themselves.  While they all claimed that Jackson is a very serious baby who doesn’t smile too much, I think we still caught a few giggles coming out of him here and there, particularly on the swings.  Can you blame him?  Swings are pretty awesome.  (At age 27 I still like to swing.  I’ll admit it.)

More shoots to share next week.  Happy Friday!

Kevin + Sarah + Jonathan + Noah + Lucas

If you’ve read my blog before, you know this family and all of its adorableness (particularly baby Lucas’s newborn shoot just a few months ago.)  I was so thrilled to see them all again last week when we spent an evening playing at City Garden in downtown St. Louis.

It was tough keeping little Noah away from the fountains before we were ready (had to get a few photos of him before he was soaked), but man can that little guy move!  He ran all over the place, keeping Kevin and Sarah on their toes for nearly the whole shoot.  I can’t blame him -it’s hard to resist a cool fountain on a day with 105 degree heat index :)  Once he and Jonathan got into the fountains it was no different – running and dodging the scores of other kids, splashing and laughing.  An evening well spent, even if it meant going home in the car soaking wet :)

Wow – great pictures!!! It’s funny how Jonathan reminds me of Bryan at that age. Noah and Lucas remind me more of the Arens side. Now where is the Carlson side? Must be intertwinded in there somewhere!! :)
