Holly + Cody – Married! Part One

The rain cleared just in time.

After a torrential downpour that lasted about 30 minutes, the skies ceased their storming so Holly and Cody could have their outdoor garden wedding, just as they planned.  Without even a delay.

Not that Holly and Cody had been concerned.  As we wandered around the Inverness Hotel taking their portraits earlier in the day, Cody explained that they weren’t worried about rain.  They knew there was no accounting for Colorado weather, and no planning for it, so they just figured it if was meant to be it would be.  I think that’s just about the best attitude you can have when planning an outdoor wedding around here, and I was thrilled for them that it was meant to be.

Holly and Cody were married last weekend in a lovely outdoor ceremony at The Inverness Hotel.  Photos of the reception to come in Part Two!

Miss F’s Boudoir

The Magnolia Hotel is a fantastic setting for a boudoir shoot.  Huge windows, beautiful light, simple decor, and a free happy hour downstairs when you are finished.  Nice :)

Here are a few shots from last weekend’s shoot.  She asked that I not post any with her face, which I completely respect and honor all the time.  I loved all the shots we did with her cathedral length veil.  I always love shooting with long veils.  So pretty!

Happy Wednesday!

Colleen + Tony – Married!

I love an expressive bride, and Colleen was definitely expressive on her wedding day.  Laughter, tears, hugs – you could read her happiness all over her face.  It was a wedding day full of joy and emotion, one of my favorite kinds to photograph :)

Colleen and Tony were married last weekend at the Manor House in Littleton.  The views from The Manor House are just gorgeous.  You can see Red Rocks, Downtown Denver, and all the way down to Arrowhead Golf Course.  It’s a beautiful spot, to be sure, and a really nice place to take photos.  Many thanks to Colleen and Tony for being willing to sit in the grass in the middle of a field :)  Thank you also to Krista for second shooting with me, and to Kayla my wonderful assistant/wedding coordinator.

Leslie + Peter – Engaged!

When we brainstormed ideas about what to do for their photo session, Leslie and Peter wanted to do something true to who they are.  So we settled on a date night Leslie and Peter style -playing frisbee with the dog, taking a walk around City Park, and having a picnic with a nice glass of wine.  A nice evening, and a nice shoot.  These two are so comfortable with one another, and so expressive, that I had an easy time getting photos of them.  We had some gorgeous light at the end, too.  Not a bad way to spend your Friday evening :)

We are SO happy with our engagement photos and look forward to having you shoot our wedding this fall!

Sean + Sarah + Anna

Anna just started walking, and she still kinda looks like Frankenstein.  I love it.  She’s also easily distracted by puppies.  When we went to the park all she wanted to do was chase after the dogs that were running around playing fetch.  Fortunately, she’s not fast enough to catch them – yet.  Next time I see her I suspect she’ll be running at full force. :)
