Leslie + Peter – Married! Part One

They nearly got married in a parking garage.

Leslie and Peter had planned a lovely outdoor ceremony in the Rose Garden of City Park, overlooking the mountains and downtown Denver.  It’s a beautiful spot, but sometimes Colorado weather gets in the way of best laid plans.  Before the ceremony was set to begin, we took family portraits at the ceremony site.  As the portraits progressed, the view began to disappear.  First the mountains, then the city skyline, then suddenly all you could see was a looming dark cloud.  We decided to run for cover.

We found refuge in the parking garage for the Museum of Nature and Science, and waited out the storm.   View full post »

Angel + Lance – Engaged!

Isn’t it funny how everyone knows what you mean when you say “The Prom Pose?”  You know what I’m talking about.  It was hideous.  And yet, everyone has a photo of them like that.  Did every prom photographer around the country take the same image?  You would think they might mix it up a little.

Anyhow, no prom photos were taken at Angel and Lance’s photo shoot.  We cautiously avoided it (although I will admit that the last one looks a little like it…)  Instead, we took several lovely photos around the Botanic Gardens in some fabulous light.

These two are getting married in Costa Rica next year – congrats to them!

John + Jenny in Brides Colorado Magazine

The Fall/Winter issue of Brides Colorado has just hit the stands, containing a lovely feature on John and Jenny’s winter wedding.  There’s a two page spread in the Real Weddings section, and a lovely photo of Jenny with John’s grandmother in their “The Moment” photo feature at the very end.  Go check it out on the newsstands now!

Congrats to John and Jenny!

Miss W’s Boudoir

I always get a tad nervous anytime I blog about boudoir.  I spend hours analyzing whether something is to risque to be posted.  Those of you who have done a session with me know I don’t do much that could really be considered risque, but I’m super paranoid anyway.  The last thing I want is for the person in the photo to feel uncomfortable, or someone visiting my blog to get the wrong idea.

This shot with the cowboy hat makes me nervous.  It’s a great shot, and not really that revealing (imagine she’s wearing a bikini – not too different.)  So I opted to post it.  I hope I’m not offending anyone’s delicate sensibilities :)

Thank you to Miss W for letting me share some of her photos!
