The bride wore snakeskin shoes. The groom wore a pink tie. It was an event 12 years in the making.
Lindsay and Austin met when they were just 11 years old, and they were married Saturday at the the Phipps Mansion in Denver. Keri Doolittle was the primary photographer, and she asked me to come along as her second photographer for the day. It’s been years since I’ve been a second shooter, and I was pleased to re-discover how much fun it is. As the second shooter you get to play – trying different angles and lighting – and you don’t have to worry about portraits, the processional, or staying in the most central position during the ceremony. It’s far less pressure, and always fun to watch another photographer work.
The result, of course, is that I took far fewer photos, seeing as I was not the primary shooter at the event. But here are some of the favorites from Saturday’s wedding. Thanks, Keri, for bringing me along!
